Proteomics in Focus: From Molecular Detail to Organ Dynamics

Featuring A/Prof. Nichollas E. Scott and Prof. David W. Greening

A/Prof. Nichollas Scott will share how energy-resolved MS on the Orbitrap Astral™ Zoom Mass Spectrometer distinguishes subtle isomeric protein and glycan alterations through unique fragmentation patterns—revealing molecular details standard proteomics often cannot detect.

Prof. David Greening will present discovery-based methods transitioned to large-scale differential expression analysis to define spatiotemporal protein dynamics in the heart. Here, we explore strategies to capture the subcellular architecture of the heart, advancing the study of the nuclear cardiac proteome, lipid-proteomics data integration, and a blueprint of molecular hallmark features of the cardiac niche.
